Magnomaze
Android App Review by AndroidAppsReview.com
Everyone’s different and each individual has his/her own abilities but if you want to know whose brain is faster and smarter or if you want to know the level of your own brain then Magnomaze can help you out.
This brain puzzle game, developed by LUEXA, is fun to play and, in the words of the developer, “is a treat for your senses and boot camp for your brain.” Want to know more about this? Check out the review below.
Features:
The puzzle has three modes; Classic, Mirrored and Hard Core. When you first start you only have access to Classic. The other two are earned by completing the levels before them.
As a beginner you’ll get a good idea what this app is all about in the Classic mode. As you complete the levels and you feel that you have a really good brain and ready to deal with advanced levesl then either go with Mirrored or Hard core level.
Gameplay:
In each level to have to tilt your device to guide the two magnoballs simulateously to hit SPARKS, avoid SPIKES, and open GATES until the two magnoballs collide with each other ending the level. The higher the level the more your brain needs to multi task so you can control both balls.
The better your score, the smarter you are. The difficulty of the puzzle increases due to the virtual vision of your eyes as you will have to focus in the centre then only you would be able to control both the balls and this will create some imaginary paths which will adds onto the difficulty.
There are total of 45 increasingly challenging labyrinth levels and you will have to guide these magnoballs through each maze by protecting them from SPIKES and hitting SPARKS, which is how you collect points, within the level. To complete a level, and move on to the next higher one, both magnoballs have to collide after all SPARKS are hit and the gate opens.
The game really gets interesting once you get past the Classic mode and move onto Mirrored and Hard Core.
The more you practice the higher will be the physical and mental strength you achieve so get keep on practicing and keep trying.
One nit is that on my device, a Samsung S4, the text at the top of playing field (Score and Top Score) was a bit garbled. Not a big deal and it did not affect gameplay in any way.
Overall Value:
This relatively lightweight 15MB really interesting brain puzzling app is offered for free in Google Play and even though there are some ads at the bottom of the screen, they don’t detract from the gameplay. I highly recommend you guys to give it a shot and test you brain skills or you can even have a competition for the same.
Graphics of the application are great and the design of the app solid although somewhat minimalistic. There are no upgrades and there is nothing extra than just the game, although the gameplay does change from mode to mode. On the plus side there are no ads in between levels, which can be pretty irritating, and the only permission it requires is “network”, which is always nice.
Magnomaze requires 2.3 and up. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
