Snap Challenge
Android Game Review by AndroidAppsReview.com
We don’t often get to say this, but today, we’re featuring an application with a truly original concept. It’s called Snap Challenge, and it’s just unique enough to deserve a full writeup here.
Snap Challenge offers a fresh take on a very classical notion—games played with a standard 52 card deck—and the results are quite phenomenal.
The action is fast-paced, the addiction real, and the fun even more so. if that sounds like a game you can get into, then slide on down below to checkout our full review!
Gameplay and Concept
The idea behind Snap Challenge does take some explaining, but once you’ve got the hang of it, the rest comes quite naturally. The game is multiplayer by nature (though there is a single player mode included) offering both players two sets of cards. The cards on top cannot be interfaced with, so you’ll only kind of need to look at the bottom. Though, you’ll technically want to keep on eye on both. Why? Because you’ll need to find the card that’s the same on both slabs. This is what the game calls the “snap card.”

Snap Challenge for Android
There are two unique game modes included here: one involves you trying to get rid of all the snap cards as quickly as possible. The other has you doing the exact opposite. Collect all of the buggers and you walk away with a victory.
Either way, it’s a lot of fun, and for a multiplayer game, it’s incredibly fast-paced. At the least, it’s more enlivening than a game like Words with Friends.
Our only complaint is that the game does take quite a bit of explaining, and the tutorial is only so-so. We managed to figure out the mechanics easily enough, but it did take some poking. There’s a brief text explanation, but no extended walkthrough just yet. Still, updates could potentially bring this along—a change we’d welcome with open arms.
Design and Graphics
Snap Challenge is a good looking application, we have to give it that. It’s not the absolute prettiest we have ever seen on the Android platform, but it is far from the worst. The interface is bright, the colors lively, and the controls could not be simpler. Tap the cards, and you’re on your way to victory!
We have a few minor complaints here and there, still. There’s a lot of dead space within the playing screen itself, and as stated, a rich tutorial would help considerably. Still, Snap Challenge is a solid effort.
Overall Value
At the end of the day, it’s hard to beat the value that Snap Challenge is offering, as well. It is completely free in the Google Play Store, making it an ideal snag for those with a hankering for quick action. It is a bit low on worldwide players at the moment, but we’re quite optimistic that the number of players will change for the better, and soon. For those that just can’t find a match, you can of course have at the single player mode.
All in all, Snap Challenge earns a solid four out of five from us, as well as our hearty recommendation.
Snap Challenge requires Android 4.3 and up. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
