Those readers that have been with us a while are likely aware of the fact that we’re quite fond of arcade games. In fact, there are very few things on this earth that we enjoy more.
With that in mind, we’re quite pleased to be introducing you today to Keep it Up! 2014, from Online Marketing Solutions, a soccer-infused title for the Android platform with a unique mechanic.
It’s a fun title, and though it isn’t without its problems, it’s certainly an excellent way to get psyched up for the oncoming World Cup. There’s just one thing you need to be asking yourself: Do you have what it takes to keep your balls in the air?
Concept and Gameplay
As you might have guessed from the title, the entire premise of the game revolves around one core aspect: You’ll need to tap a soccer ball to keep it in the air as long as possible.
It’s exactly like juggling a real ball, only it’s contained on your Android phone. In fact, there are whole competitions devoted to this practice in real life. So why not bring along some of the fun to your own pocket?
How does this action work? Well, it’s simple really. Just tap the ball before it hits the ground to send it sailing back up into the air. And that’s it! There’s no additional trickery here, no fancy controls. Just tap it to keep it in play, and try to score as high as you can.

This is quite fun, and the simple concept does make it extremely easy to pick up on. However, we wouldn’t have minded a few additions. A change in pace, for instance, or perhaps a few other distractions to keep the game alive and fresh.
Still, it’s a decent time waster, especially if you’re waiting anxiously for the real World Cup to arrive—which we absolutely are.
Design and Graphics
Sadly, where Keep it Up! 2014 truly loses some focus is in its artwork. The game just isn’t the prettiest we’ve ever seen for the Android platform, especially not within the sports genre. There are much better looking soccer games out there, and if you’re looking for something that will wow your eyeballs, this isn’t it.
That being said, a strong point of this game is that it’s really easy to get up to speed with it since the controls could not be any simpler. We do appreciate that, and if your expectations are inline with the reality offered here, you won’t be disappointed. And with that in mind, we suppose we cannot be too harsh.
Overall Value
Likewise, it’s hard to argue with a game that costs you nothing. You can snag Keep it Up! 2014 today in the Google Play Store for free without any expenditure. And considering how much use you’re likely to get out of Keep it Up! 2014, that’s probably the way it should be.
If you’re looking for an excellent time waster with a soccer focus, this is the one to jump on. Yu’ve got nothing to lose, and we highly recommend it for any soccer fan.
