This isn’t something I talk about often, but there once was a time in my life when I played a lot of pool. So much billiards, in fact, that you might have said it was my only hobby. All of this just to say—I really like some pool.
This is why I’m so excited to be looking at Pool Casino, from CMGE LLC, today. The application brings real pool gameplay (or as near as makes no difference) to the Android platform, and does it with a finesse and polish we rarely see.

Concept and Gameplay
If you need us to explain the concept here, then we’re afraid we don’t know how to help you. This is because the game delvers pool action, and that’s about it. Granted, you’ll get acres and acres of variation in that action, but at its core this is a billiards game and you’ll need to know what that is.
For those up to speed, Pool Casino is a flawless transition from the real world to the digital. You’ll get a couple different rule variations, as well as very simple controls that simulate well the draw of a pool stick, and the release onto the field.

Better still, though, you’ll get a vast number of options for your gameplay. Want to compete directly against your friends? You’re welcome to do that here. Or, if you like, you can attempt to beat different challenges. These have you ricocheting around the table, attempting to complete specific objectives to clear the challenge.
Finally, if you just want to play pool against computer opponents all around the world, then Pool Casino is spot-on.
No matter what you go in for, Pool Casino has the gameplay you need to scratch that pool hall feeling.
Design and Graphics
It also helps immensely that Pool Casino looks as good as it does. The title is wonderful to look at, from graphics to controls to even the ambiance. The developers have clearly spent a great deal of time perfecting the atmosphere here, and the result is one incredibly polished game.
We also appreciated how simple the controls were. Like real pool cues, it will take you your entire life to truly master the finesse required. But when you break it down, initial execution is very simple. Just the way we like it!
Overall Value
And at the end of the day, you just can’t beat a game that’s completely free in the Google Play Store, especially when it looks this good. Pool Casino is easily the best pool game we have ever seen on the Android platform, and if you’re in the mood for just that kind of action, it will not disappoint.
Take it from us, Pool Casino is the definitive defense of the genre. As such, it earns a five star rating and our seal of approval.
