Cat Litter Reminder, from Sologix, is a very handy app for all cat owners. It’s goal is simple, to refresh your memory regarding when you changed your feline friend’s litter box.
Do you love cats? How many do you have? Wait…are you the crazy cat lady? Here’s an app for all of the furry friend lovers out there!
Ever get confused with which day you changed your cat’s litter box? Was it four days ago? Or five?
Unless you’re still in college and frequently wear the same clothes day in and day out, using the smell test for your cat’s litter box is not a very healthy thing to do.
What if you have more than one cat? All the more reason to download this app and keep your house healthy!
Don’t wait for the smell to become unbearable by using Cat Litter Reminder as an easy way to remind you when you last changed the litter!
Features
Cat Litter Reminder has only one main function - to remind you of when you last changed your cat’s litter box.
You may ask why you wouldn’t just use a built-in calendar reminder… well maybe because Cat Litter Reminder is a little cooler and it has an image of a cat litter box?
Cat Litter Reminder requires just one tap on the “Changed Litter” button to reset the counter each time you change your pet’s litter.
Cat Litter Reminder then will tell you how long ago you changed the litter. Tap it again to reset it and start the count again.
Have no fear over the lack of other features, because Sologix might soon be releasing several updates for it! Hopefully a bit of customization will be allowed for the users to make it more appealing. For example, we’d love to see the option is use your own favorite images, or even become a more general visual cue based reminder app.
Why not let you set a timer for other things that you match with an image?
Overall, Cat Litter Reminder does exactly what it says it does - it reminds you about replacing your cat’s litter.
Appearance and Layout
Cat Litter Reminder has such a remarkably simple layout, that it invokes comparisons to a simple stopwatch with a litter box background.
The entire app is only one page, and only has one interactive button - the “Take Out Litter” button.
The text size and font are easy to read for even those of us with bad eyesight, and the pastel colors are aesthetically pleasing.
The app overall is a little plain, as it is almost too specific with being made solely for cat litter.
Value
While this app is somewhat limited in its functionality, what it does do it does very well. Plus, and this is a big plus, the app has no ads, no IAPs, and requires no special permissions.
Cat Litter is free and it’s only 1.2 MB! With potential updates coming in the future. You won’t regret getting this app and your cats will thank you.
