Swim into the Fun with Aqua Pets

When I was a kid I used to love going to the Aquarium. I could sit for hours just staring into those huge tanks, watching the fish swim around and over me while imagining what it would be like to jump in there with them. It was the most calming feeling in the world and one that I would have LOVED to get to carry around with me. Now, with the new Aqua Pets Android app, I can do just that!

Now, admittedly, playing with my Aqua Pets Android app is a bit different than watching an 18 foot shark glide by, but the premise is the same. Only this time, I’m the one in control! I get to decide who stays and who goes as I build the tank of my dreams. One that is always ready and waiting for me any time I want to stop by. Ready to learn more? Gameplay

Here’s how the game works. You start by going fishing! Not what you were expecting? Well my friends, you’ve got to stock your tank somehow and this is the way to go! You see, Aqua Pets is a game of points. Catch fish to earn points….earn points to level up….level up to get to catch cooler fish.

But one of the best features of Aqua Pets Android app is that it allows you to turn your phone into your very own aquarium. Basically your Aqua Pets aquarium can be set as a live wallpaper. Meaning that you have to do nothing more than glance down at your Android device to check in with all your little swimming friends.

Fun Factor

As far as fun goes, the game is a blast! My favorite part was going through and trying my hand with different rod/bait combinations to see which ones would help me catch the coolest fish. I also love the whole aquarium on demand bit.

There is one area to be wary of however. Like so many Android app games, Aqua Pets has its very own currency known as Pearls. Pearls can be earned very slowly as you level up, OR you can go in an purchase them with real money. As in, cold hard cash deducted from your account. This isn’t a huge deal for those who understand that pearls = cash, but we have all heard the horror stories of handing an Android device to a little one and then being shocked at the bill. So, if you give your Android to a child to let them play Aqua Pets, make sure that they understand…Pearls are off-limits!

Share Worthiness

Overall Aqua Pets is a great game that is fun to mess with. I love the variety of fish available and I love the way that my Android looks as they swim across the screen. Also, the game gave me zero trouble during the review process. Because of this, and the fact that Aqua Pets is a free Android app, I say that the share worthiness is off the charts. This is the perfect game for those of us who are ready for something different and something that we can keep playing with for a long time to come.
