Shop Savvy with Android and Fooducate

For most people grocery shopping is a chore whether or not they have an Android device. Thankfully there is this new Android app called Fooducate, and Fooducate is designed to give you real time pointers on each and every item that you put into your cart. There is no wait, no fuss and seemingly no end to the number of products they have on hand. Curious? I was too! Let’s explore my Android app review and see what I found out!

Features

Here’s how it works. First, pick a product. Any product will do…just pick something that you would normally buy on a standard shopping trip. Now, using the camera on your Android device, scan that product and watch Fooducate works its magic!

In just a few seconds you will see a screen pop up much like the one on the left. This screen grades your food choice, lets you know about any possible concerns with the product, shows calorie information and even gives you an idea of what other users think about your choice. In short, the Fooducate Android app lays it all out there!

What do I love about this? That Fooducate has over 200,000 products in their database and that number is growing each and everyday. With that many products online, its going to be hard to find a choice that this Android app doesn’t have!

But my favorite feature is the warnings. The little colored explanation points that pop up under your food choice. These are what you want to pay attention to as these are the things about this particular food that you might find concerning. I’ll tell you I learned some things about several of our staple foods that has made me think twice before dropping them into the buggy!

In terms of functionality, I had zero problems with Fooducate. The Android app loaded perfectly, ran smoothly and found every product that I scanned during the review process. Now, I will point out that I had a clear signal throughout the review. If I were struggling for signal, then I think that this Android app would be much more difficult to use.

Share Worthiness

5 stars. Easy decision. There are so many people in my life who I know would benefit from this type of coaching. People that want and need to make better choices, but just aren’t able to do so on their own. By giving them this level of assistance right from their Android device, they will be able to find success that they wouldn’t otherwise.

Fooducate is a fantastic all around Android app that is a must see for every user. The app is free…yes…FREE and its options are endless. So take a few minutes to add it to your Android device. I think you might just find yourself impressed!
