I can remember being a kid and seeing the Coin Dozer machines calling to me from the other side of the arcade. It seemed so easy! I mean, all you had to do was drop just one more coin to have all that goldeny goodness spilling over the edge and into your hot little hands.

Soon you would find yourself dropping in one coin, then two, then everything you could dig out of your pockets only to find that neither luck nor gravity seemed to be on your side!

If you remember what it was like to stand in front of the old school Coin Dozers then you know what to expect from the Coin Dozer Android app. But for those of you who are new to this kind of fun, here’s a quick breakdown.
When you open the game you will be met with a screen full of goldeny goodness. Your job is to drop in your coins at just the right time to get the maximum benefit from the never ceasing plunger. Time it right and you just might get to watch all that georgous gold tumble it’s way into your own pocket!
The only problem is that things don’t often go as planned and the game is a whole lot harder than it looks!
What do I love? The prizes! I love how real it makes the game to see all those extra prizes hanging out on top of the coins. It reminds me of all the great goodies I have tried (and failed!) to win over the years!

Functionality
Here was the hard part. Each time you drop a coin you have to wait…and wait…and (sometimes) wait for it to drop. This can be crazy frustrating and kind of defeats the whole timing strategy/purpose of the game as a whole. I honestly have to say that it doesn’t feel as if this game has been optimized for Android and I think that things could be quite a bit better in this catergory.
I will follow that up by saying that the Coin Dozer Android app did not freeze altogether and it did not force close, it just lagged. But the lag was pretty persistent and it was more than a little annoying.
Fun Factor
When you get right down to it this game is good…not great. See, the idea is there, its just that the execution is lacking a bit and it all comes down to two things. First the graphics leave much to be desired. They are okay…but not much more than that! The second issue is the lag that we talked about in functionally. Why does this matter? Because timing is the whole point of Coin Dozer. The point is to time your drop so that you get to use the whole width of your coin to shove the others forward. When you have this kind of lag to deal with, it kind of pulls that element out and distracts from the fun.
Really I would like to see Coin Dozer tighten things up and offer a better overall package to their users. IF they can do that, then they just might have something wonderful. Something that is addictively delicious and something that you never want to put down!
