It is time for the next step on my photo journey. Those of you who have been with us for awhile know that I am forever on the quest for the perfect Android photography app. No, not a professional photographer, but I would like to be and I always want my picks to look like something special. The only problem is that with each Android photography app I review my hopes are dashed even further!
But today I’m feeling lucky. Because today I have the opportunity to take a closer look at the new Picsin Magic Effects Android app. This Android app seems to have it all, but we all know that beauty is only skin deep. My job is to find out if they can deliver on these big promises and offer me a well rounded photo app that works well and doesn’t come stacked with 2 million permissions in the back ground. I’ll tell you this much, things are finally looking up.

Here’s how it works. You start with a picture either one you choose from your camera or one that you take. Sounds promising right? Then, once you have the pic of your dreams you take a few minutes to tinker with how it looks. You can change the color saturation, crop the photo and (the best part!) add a ton of cool effects that change the whole look of your pic.
I love how each effect has a completely different look and how there are some new options from what I normally find on other Android apps.
My favorite? It’s hard to choose! I really like the Vintage look and the Fattal. But, if I had to pic just one I love the way that the pencil effect translates onto my pics. It is just this really different look and feel that I have only seen on Picsin Magic Effects.

Functionality
In terms of functionality the Picsin Magic Effects Android app really held its own. Now, I will admit that the Android app did freeze twice, but it did not happen every time and it seemed to only happen right in the beginning. Other than that, the Android app worked great and loaded like a champ.
And now on to the good news!
Oh my goodness I am so excited! See, this is normally the point where I have to tell you how even though I love this Android app, its really not such a great thing because it is so packed with permissions. Especially the photography apps! Well, I am more than a little excited to tell you that this is definitely not the case with the Picsin Magic Effects Android app.
Nope! With Picsin Magic Effects the permissions list is both small and manageable. I think I might be dreaming!
Photo Worthiness
The real test of a photo editor is the finished product. Well with Picsin Magic Effects I seriously could not ask for more. The Android app is easy to use, well laid out and (best of all!) my photos have come out perfect each and every time. Truly I am thrilled! So what are you waiting for?
