Ever wanted to scoot around in a VW Bug with a flower pot on top? How about a supped up school bus with wicked wings? Now you can! Car Creator Android app lets you craft custom vehicles then take them for a spin.
Ready to roll? Hop in for my Android app review of Car Creator.
Features
There’s a fully stocked garage waiting for you in Car Creator Android app. You start the game with 400 credits you can put towards a custom ride. Go wild with over 80 interchangeable parts, including over a dozen body styles, big tires, fins, wings, spoilers and even a host of funky colors you can paint your ride.

Car Creator
Once your car is done, take it for a spin around one of the app’s three tracks where you can earn extra credits to keep on building. Or, let your car star in its own commercial, showing off all its angles. There is also a free drive mode where you can take your creation out for a leisurely ride without the pressure of earning points.
It’s a pretty simple concept, and Car Creator Android app’s whimsical stylings will probably appeal to a younger crowd. Try it out on your toddler or preteen. I would not suggest handing it to a heavy gamer or sophisticated race game enthusiast.
Functionality
Despite the nifty idea, Car Creator Android app comes up short when it comes to stability. The app has already received an update to address super slow load times and a few glitches, but I am still having issues with the app. I actually had to remove it entirely and reinstall to gain access to the race levels after the update.
Saving and loading different portions of the app are pretty darn slow still. The car is also extremely difficult to control around turns on the race tracks. I know my processor is up to the task, so the blame lies on Car Creator Android app.
Layout & Design

Car Creator
Creating a car is really pretty simple. I did have a small issue with the scroll interface while I was looking for a spoiler for my car once, but it was not a repeat issue.
The icons and menu buttons are a bit small while you are creating your car. You can spin the vehicle to check it out from each angle, but a zoom function might have been more helpful.
Value
Car Creator Android app is free to download. The original credit of 400 points is pretty easy to burn through. After it’s gone you can earn credits slowly by racing, or buy them through the app. I do not think this app is good enough to merit spending any money on.
Combine that with the functionality concerns and Car Creator Android app has unfortunately voted itself off of my device. I do hope the app improves as it goes through this beta phase.
