We see a lot of life-based applications on the iOS platform. That is to say, we see a lot more apps in that camp designed to introduce some new convenience, some new novelty, or some new productivity tool. Thankfully, though, My Photo Framer is available for both Android and iPhone, which is why we get to bring you a full review of it today. The brilliant new application allows you to take any photo from your Android, package it with a fresh frame, and then ship it out to your loved one—and all without putting the phone in your pocket once! Concept and Functionality
As stated, the idea behind My Photo Framer is all about the frames. It allows you to take (literally, if you’d like to snap a photo from your camera in the moment) a photo with your Android phone, then pick a frame to accompany it. The frames included with the app range from black, brown and bamboo. They also arrive in a number of print-ready sizes, that way you can be sure to get the type that matches your gift giving needs the best. Once that’s done, however, the real magic happens!
Click a button to have a preview of your image. Like the way it looks? Then go ahead and order it up! Just put in a shipping address, as well as your billing information, then round it out with some payment: The app supports PayPal, if you’re like us and consider that a deal maker. With that out of the way, the developers will take care of absolutely everything else! They’ll gift wrap, package, personalize, and ship your present—and without the need to visit the postbox once! Now, if you ask us, that’s a deal that’s hard to beat anywhere.
Design and Interface
My Photo Framer for Android
On the whole, we have very little to complain about within the interface that My Photo Framer is sporting. It’s quick, efficient, and requires only a few clicks to go all the way from a photo in your photo gallery to a printed and shipped gift. With that in mind, though, we would certainly like a few more options. We’d like more frames to go with our images, as well as more print sizes—just in case we need specialty options. Aside from that, though, the app is more than adequate, and incredibly efficient to navigate.
Overall Value
And at the end of the day, it’s hard to beat any app that costs as little as My Photo Framer does—in fact, it’s completely free! Obviously, you’ll have to pay for the finished product, but even if you’d like to just give the functionality a go while you have a bored minute, you’ll not be disappointed.
