Word Search is a new puzzle game that’s both challenging and addicting. Developed by WS DEVELOPERS, Word Search will definitely satisfy your thirst for puzzle goodness!
Concept and Gameplay
Alright, I’ll admit it; I’m a huge fan of word search puzzles. Forget crosswords and Sudoku, give me the task of sifting through hundreds of letters and I’m as happy as can be. Thankfully Word Search fulfills everything a puzzler like myself could ever want in an Android game.
It goes way beyond a square of letters and a set list of words to hunt for. That’s what makes this particular game truly special in the world of word search puzzles.
I was ecstatic to see that Word Search is essentially three games in one. There are three different modes you can complete word searches in. The first is Puzzles, which requires you to find words and eliminate them from the letter square.
Letters that remain in the square will spell out the remaining words of a famous quote, which is something I’ve definitely never seen before in a word search game. There are even different quote packs you can purchase, ranging in topic from famous philosophers to timeless movie quotes.

Find Them, the second Word Search mode, gives you a random list of words to search for. This is great for casual word searchers who are looking for an untimed puzzle to complete. You can even refresh the puzzle whenever you like.
When you’ve completed the puzzle, you’re shown how many words you successfully found, along with the total time it took you to solve the puzzle. The final mode, 15S, presents you with a word and gives you 15 seconds to locate it in the puzzle. If you run out of time, the game is over.
Personally this is my favorite mode to play, as I’m always up for a challenge and it helps me find words faster.
Features
Word Search, though simple in design, has a few extra features that help to make gameplay even more fun. The best definitely has to be integration with Google Play Games, which allows you to earn achievements and share them on your Google+ profile.
However, there are a few features that I believe Word Search could benefit from. First, multiplayer capability would be a great addition to the game.
Something like this would allow two people to challenge eachother on 15S or solve puzzles together. Also, I think customizable puzzles that allow you to set the number of letters would be beneficial to both word search novices and pros.
Value
Word Search is available for free from Google Play, but each quote pack in Puzzles mode is a $0.99 download (there are five packs total).
If you truly enjoy the game, I recommend spending $1.99 to unlock all of them instead of purchasing the packs individually. In all, if you’re a fan of word search puzzles, Word Search is definitely worth downloading!
