If you’re looking for a great way to pass time, endless scrolling games are definitely the way to go.
Not only are games like this challenging because you’re always trying to top your previous high score, but they’re great for picking up and putting down at a moment’s notice.
Beach Ball Jump is a fun new game that is colorful, creative, addictive and difficult to master. If you’re like me, this is a great game to play while waiting for winter to pass.
Concept and Gameplay
Beach Ball Jump, a free game developed by Benjamin Wegener Games, is one of those games that’s incredibly easy to play, but equally hard to master.
Getting high scores in endless running games like this one can be challenging because you can get burnt out quickly; that’s why I prefer games that allow you to work towards unlocking rewards.
When you start a new session, your beach ball will roll on the circular sandy beach. In order to increase your score, you have to keep the ball in the sand for as long as you can.
Obstacles approach from the right side of the screen very quickly and you have to tap the screen in order to launch the ball into the air and clear them. If you hit an obstacle, the game is over.
Features
As I mentioned above, I definitely prefer “endless” games that offer some sort of reward system. This way you’re encouraged to do more than just beat your high score.
Beach Ball Jump offers an in-game store where you can unlock custom beach balls depending on achievements you’ve completed. These goals include playing a certain number of games, surpassing a total number of points, or even sharing screenshots.
Value
Overall Beach Ball Jump! is a terrific value and has tons of potential. It’s free to download and while the game will eventually be supported by ads, at this point it’s ad-free so I encourage you to jump on this one sooner rather than later.
