Here at Android Apps Review, there’s hardly anything on this planet that we like more than an app that delivers real value.
We like any app that serves a useful, or at least entertaining, purpose and delivers what it promises.
Brainly, by developer Brainly, Inc. is a tremendous resource for anyone who could use some help with school homework—whether in high school or college.
Concept and Functionality
As stated, Brainly is a tremendous resource to help you with your homework as far as helping you find answers and understanding what you’re being asked.
What Brainly does is much more valuable than simply providing you with an answer to a homework problem. It helps you to not only complete your homework but, more importantly, to understand it.
The first thing that’s worth noting about this app is that over 150M people around the world use it every month. That’s pretty amazing. That’s also an incredible resource because with that many monthly users there’s bound to be lots of study partners you can connect with to share your frustrations and insights with.
In fact, the more you help others and the more that help is recognized as being valuable, you benefit by receiving bonus points and improving your ranking as a subject matter expert.
According to the app’s description, it covers the following areas “Math, History, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Social Studies, Advanced Placement AP, Geography, Health, Arts, Business, Computers and Technology, French, German, Spanish, and World Languages! Plus, special sections featuring prep questions for SAT and PSAT exams!”
Design and Graphics
Our only real complaint with the app involves its aesthetics: it’s simply not the best looking application that we’ve ever seen. That said, more importantly everything behaves well enough, and we had no problem finding our way around.
All in all we feel this remarkable app could easily be even better with a more updated UI, rather than a rougher edition of a study utility.
Still, we really don’t want to split hairs, Brainly is extremely useful and usable.
Overall Value
At ‘free’ you’re certainly going to get your money’s worth out of it.
Overall we highly recommend Brainly to anyone facing a homework challenge, or are looking for an interesting and rewarding way to help others who could use a helping hand.
