Ever find yourself wondering how cheap (or expensive and cool) of a car you want to rent? Well wonder no more, this app is all you need to find all your options.
Cars-scanner helps you get the best prices by giving you the information you need, when you need it!

Cars-scanner, developed by Hotels & Car rental comparison, allows you to quickly tap in where and when you want a car rental most anywhere around the world in a simple, easy-to-use search.
It requires an active wifi or data connection, and is offered in 29 languages and, believe it or not, over 100 currencies (all easily selectable via drop-down menus).
Cars-scanner lets you filter on 6 criteria, including location, customer rating and special offers, and is as simple to use as you could want.
It can access over 500 rental companies and will check both large well-known ones and local ones for your request. Once you have the results you can opt to see them in ascending price order or by their recommendation score.
Appearance and Layout
The appearance of cars-scanner is a perfect fit for the task at hand - very appropriate and minimal. You just put in your info and in seconds you have your results to sift through.
As far as a utility app like this goes, the UI gets the job done. That said, we would love to see some more social aspects incorporated into the information that you get.
Once you select a rental option the app then shows you all the relevant details, such as rental company, ratings, what’s included and all the additional options available such as insurance, gps, child seat, etc.
The colors are attractive and a common font is used so there’s no fancy shit getting in your way. We could imagine some more functionality but the developers would have to make sure it doesn’t come at the cost of efficiency.
To get specific, for an app like this where you might be poking around quite a bit we’d like to see a “history” options that let’s you walk back through the last x searches you’ve done.
We found Cars-scanner to not be particularly impressive in its appearance and layout, but again, for quick and simple use with maximum efficiency it’s hard to complain. I mean, how fancy does a hammer have to be?
Value
The value of Cars-scanner is great for being free, and you don’t have to set up an account to use it.
Cars-scanner does help you save money and for most that is the be-all and end-all of an app like this.
Overall, we’re thoroughly impressed with the range of rental companies, languages and currencies it works with and with its ease-of-use and no-account set up we give it a hearty recommendation!
