If your child is interested in music, there’s no better way to foster that interest than to provide them with the appropriate apps and games.

This is a fun way to ease your child’s interest along without worrying about a more formal process.

Piano Kids - Music & Songs is a great example of a well designed app that’s perfect for preschoolers. It exposes kids to music in a variety of fun and appealing ways.

It’s a wonderful app that’s sure to capture your child’s attention and excite them.

Concept and Functionality

Piano Kids, created by Orange Studios Games, is full of wonderfully appealing musical animations and adorable little games covering a broad range of areas, everything from coloring to numbers, to memory matching to learning your ABC’s.

Once you start one of the activities parents don’t need to worry about their child having a difficult time navigating the app because it’s very simple and easy to figure out.

This means kids can spend more time having fun and less time getting frustrated with a complicated interface.

There are currently three music themes for kids to explore in Piano Kids: Instruments, Songs, and Sounds. There’s also a new theme called Play that leads to a screen of 14 different activities.

It’s easy for your child to interact with the app. Depending on their age and abilities, one option is that you can simply start an activity and let them explore.

Unfortunately there’s a “More Games” option on the main screen which let’s you download a game or takes you to the Google Play Store.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to disable that. It’s also not possible to restrict your child to just the activity you’ve started, they can always get back to the main screen.

Features

Piano Kids includes plenty of entertaining activities for little ones along with a lively background music track. The Instruments option gives you a choice of six different instruments, the Songs options offers up 29 different songs to play on a colored keyboard with notes telling you which key to tap, and Sounds has 13 different groups of sounds associated with things like animals, vehicles, special effects, and bells.

This provides kids with a relatively safe and fun environment to play and gives parents peace of mind.

An in-app purchase lets you remove ads (highly recommended) and the settings menu is where you can adjust the language between British English, Spanish, or Portuguese.

Value

Piano Kids is available to download from Google Play for free and the cost of removing the ads is $3.99.

We do suggest, however, that you don’t hand your device to your little one without any supervision since even if you pay to remove ads they are still able to get to the dev’s ad for more apps.

Overall, Piano Kids is an excellent addition to any parent’s library. The app provides plenty of fun learning opportunities for your child without breaking the bank.
