Android App Review by AndroidAppsReview.com
With more and more of our everyday work and personal communications happening on our phones, it’s pretty clear that privacy when connecting with others is pretty important.
You many need to send sensitive corporate info, racy personal info, or just don’t like anyone alwasy looking over your shoulder. Whatever the message is, it needs to move quickly and privately and to just the right people.
Thanks to Signal Private Messenger, from Signal Foundation, it’s now easier and safer than ever.
The app was designed specifically to simplify the exchange of private messages between you and anyone else also using it.
Signal is perfect for secure and private inter-company or interpersonal communications.
It’s quick, simplistic, and totally free in the Google Play Store.
Concept and Functionality
If you have used any other messaging applications, such as WhatsApp, and we know you have, then Signal Private Messenger will seem rather familiar—up to a point, that is. The app allows you to send a message, or connect with a voice or video call, to another user of the app quickly and easily.
Of course the big added feature is privacy. And, as Popular Mechanics put it, “(Signal is) the most secure messaging app you can get for your phone.” Plus, in a 2016 tweet the (infamous?) Edward Snowden recommended two ways to keep your communications private; Tor and Signal.
While it’s primarily a replacement for your default phone’s sms messenger app, it’s really much more than that. The defining feature it offers users is end-to-end encryption, using your existing phone number, for all messages that it handles end-to-end.
Of course you can message, call, or video call anyone but if they don’t have Signal the comm won’t be encrypted. But don’t worry, you’ll be warned if that’s the case.
Stored messages can also be encrypted which makes it impossible to access them without the password.
And when we say “impossible”, we mean it. The encryption uses the Signal Protocol, a state-of-the-art method of encryption that combines the Double Ratchet algorithm, prekeys, and a triple Elliptic-curve Diffie–Hellman (3-DH) handshake,[5] and uses Curve25519, AES-256, and HMAC-SHA256 as primitives.
Design and Interface
All that privacy power, fortunately, does not require you to be a tech genius to use it. We were very pleasantly surprised to see that the importance of ease-of-use was not neglected. After all, what good would all that capability be if few could mange it.
Some might quibble about the fact that you can use your existing contact list with the app but fear not. The app itself cannot see your contacts, they can only be accessed by you. Additionally, if you have qualms about getting the app from Google’s Play Store, intrepid advanced users can get the .apk file and sideload it themselves.
We would also like to point out that the digital enhancement tech that runs throughout the app means that even in low bandwidth areas you get more speed and comm quality than you’d expect.
Overall Value
Signal Private Messenger is a terrific solution that will appeal to many individuals and companies who are interested in secure communications. It is not only free to download but it’s also free of ads, trackers, and IAPs.
It’s functional and free, that’s a pretty compelling value in our book.
Finally, it’s not just for Android users, there’s also a Signal iPhone app.
Signal Private Messenger requires Android 4.4 and up.

I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your site.
It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more
pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme?
Great work!

You have a quality site, great review.
the security built into Signal is f’n unreal, that alone makes it better.
With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? I agree with what you’re saying but how do you do it every time?
I was recommended this website by my cousin. I am not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else know such detailed about my problem. You are amazing! Thanks!
